Turkish Finansbank To Enter Ukrainian Market.

One of the top-10 Turkish banks (ranked #5 in terms of assets) plans to set up offices in Ukraine by the end of the year. In addition to Turkey the bank also has structural divisions in Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Russia, Romania, France and Switzerland. Concorde Capital: In recent months foreign banks have increased their interest in the Ukrainian banking sector. On July 1, the Russia’s ?Bank of Moscow? (#7 in terms of assets in Russia) obtained the NBU?s permission to open its offices in Ukraine. In addition, one of the top-10 Italian banks Banca Intesa recently announced its intensions to acquire a Ukrainian bank in 2005-06.
