Kryukiv Wagon Wins Tender for Minsk Subway Escalators

Kryukiv Wagon (KVBZ: N/R) won a tender to supply the Minsk subway system with four escalators for USD 4.6 mln, according to Interfax. A company official said that the relevant contract will be signed within the next two weeks. This tender signals Kryukiv Wagon’s continuing push to diversify sales, not just in terms of destinations (railcar production increased more than twofold in 1H07 as more than two-thirds of sales in the period went abroad), but in terms of products, as well with equipment orders for subway cars and escalators.
