Ukraine’s GDP grew by 9.3% yoy in June, bringing Jan-June GDP growth to 5% yoy. The economy minister, Arseny Yatsenyuk, said the 1H06 results were grounds for a revision of its 2006 GDP forecast, which is currently 2.8%. Alexander Viktorov: June’s high industrial output growth (+9.6% yoy), fueled by the steel sector recovery, and strong growth rates in trade and construction were the main growth drivers.
