Banking Activity Continues To Grow.

In June, the total volume of commercial bank loans to the companies rose by 7.7% to USD 21.5 bln, as of July 1, 2005. Since the beginning of the year, the number of companies issuing banking loans has grown by 22.7%, while in 2004 loans grew by 30.6%. Personal deposits increased by 4.2% in June to total USD 11.1 bln as of July 1, 2005. Since the start of the year, personal deposits grew by 33.6% or USD2.7 bln. This is more than last year?s growth rate of 28.5% or USD 1.7 bln.
