The company, which owns the Mykolayivcement plant (14% of Ukraine’s total cement capacity) plans to invest EUR 30 mln, and finish construction by June 2007. The planned initial annual capacity of 15 mln m2 of plasterboard and 40 th mt of dry construction mix will be upgraded to 30 mln and 160 ths respectively. The company plans to occupy ~30% of Ukraine’s plasterboard market. To do this the company will have to compete with Knauf, the only producer of plasterboard in Ukraine, which currently accounts for ~70% of Ukraine’s market, and importers.
