EBRD to inject EUR 300 mln into Ukrainian financial sector by 2010

The European Bank of Reconstruction and Development will invest over EUR 300 mln into the Ukrainian financial sector by 2010, it announced yesterday. The EBRD plans to extend the range of Ukrainian banks and financial companies that it grants loans to. Since it started activity in Ukraine in 1994, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development has spent EUR ~700 mln on projects in the Ukrainian financial sector, 21% of the EBRD’s total investments into Ukraine.
