UkrhydroEnergo To Invest USD 100 Mn In Hydro Power Plant Reconstruction

UkrhydroEnergo, which operates nine hydro and pump storage power plants with a combined capacity 4.6 GW, will be granted a USD 100 mn World Bank loan for reconstruction. The loan has a term of 14 years and interest rate of LIBOR+1%. Concorde Capital. This is the third loan by an international organization to a Ukrainian energy company in the last seven years. The IBRD opened a USD 200 mn credit line to Kievenergo (KIEN: HOLD) in 1999, and EBRD provided USD 160 mn to Donbasenergo (DOEN: BUY) in 1996.
