Restructuring Affects BBH Ukraine's 2006 Results

Baltic Beverages Holding (BBH) Ukraine, holding company for Slavutych Brewery (SLAV: HOLD) released its 2006 financial results according to IFRS standards, which revealed an EBITDA increase of 11% yoy to USD 29 mln and a sales boost of 17% yoy to USD 213.5 mln. Net profit decreased over the year to a loss of USD 1.4 mln, from a profit of USD 4.75 mln in 2005, which the company attributed to restructuring as it implements its turnaround plan. In 2006, the company increased the market share of its premium brands Tuborg and Baltika to 19.9% and 19.5% to hold down the top two spots in the segment. BBH Ukraine controls Slavutych breweries in Kyiv and Zaporizhya, and Lvivska Pyvovarnya.
