Lutsk Automobile Launches New Production Line For 1.5 ths Buses Per Year.

The company ivested USD 7.8 mln on this project. The second stage of bus capacity increase at Lutsk Automobile (LUAZ) is scheduled to finish in October 2007. The investment of USD 70 mln will allow an increase of bus capacities to 4.7 ths buses and trolleybuses. In 2005-08 the Bogdan corporation, which includes LuAZ, will construct capacities for the production of cars and trucks in Cherkasy (146 ths cars, 15 ths trucks, 6 ths of buses and trolleybuses per year). Last year Bogdan decided to gradually move car and truck production from LuAZ to Cherkasy Bus, and start production of buses at the former. In 2006 LuAZ plans to increase production of cars by 29% to 39,600 units.
