Ukraine’s state budget revenue provisionally rose
34.6% yoy to UAH 89 bln in January, overperforming the plan by 13.4%, the State
Treasury reported on Feb. 1. Net tax revenue increased 29.8% yoy to UAH 43 bln
(11.4% above the plan) amid 33.4% yoy growth in gross tax revenue and a 42.6%
yoy increase in VAT reimbursement. Customs revenue advanced 46.0 yoy to UAH 32
bln (20.1% below the plan).
Local budgets’ fiscal revenue improved 25.5% yoy to
UAH 27.6 bln in January, which is 2.5% below the plan. Social payments
(pensions and other social fund contributions paid by employers) advanced 16.8%
yoy to UAH 27.0 bln.
Evgeniya Akhtyrko: The budget
collections continue booming. Like in 2021, the inflation component will be significant for the growth of budget revenue in 2022.
