State Increases Official GDP Growth To 7.1% In 2006

According to the State Statistics Committee, Ukraine’s GDP grew 7.1% yoy in 2006 and reached USD 106 bln. As has been the case for the last 12 months, the main forces behind Ukraine’s GDP growth were the retail (16.4%), transportation (10.8%) and construction (9.8%) sectors.
