Tymoshenko Turns Up Heat On Gas Deal.

Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has said that her block was willing to form a coalition with President Yushchenko’s Our Ukraine party, if the government annulled the current gas agreement with Russia. All the former “People’s Power” Coalition members have been in talks since Saturday on forming a coalition after the elections. Concorde Capital:  The gas deal is certainly on the ropes, however, Tymoshenko’s offer looks more like an attempt to grab headlines than a compromise. The elections are just around the corner so this is likely to be just the tip of the iceberg – expect more PR stunts.
