Circling The Orange Wagons?

Circling The Orange Wagons?

17 February 2008

President Yushchenko’s Our Ukraine Party announced that it had formed a working group with the Yulia Tymoshenko Block, Socialist Party, The Pora-Reform & Order Block and the Kostenko & Pliusch Block to draft an agreement on making a parliamentary coalition after the elections. All these parties were once part of the “People’s Power” coalition that brought Yushchenko to power last year. Concorde Capital:  In our opinion the reformation of the People’s Power coalition is likely, however, it will be an even more unstable coalition than it was the first time around.  Moreover, we would hold off placing any bets on how things will unfold for at least a few more weeks, these talks are preliminary and there are still several questions that have to be answered (who will be PM).
