Electricity Consumption Increases 2% yoy In 2005.

Ukraine has increased its domestic consumption of electricity by 1.9% yoy. The growth leaders were households, the housing sector and food/agricultural sector. The fuel and metal industries had the lowest grow rates.

Concorde Capital: The high growth rate of household consumption is connected to the increased incomes of the Ukrainian population: electric devices (air conditioners, microwave ovens, washing machines) are becoming more common place. We expect this segment to be a driving force behind electricity consumption growth for the next few years.
