Astarta to Acquire Two Sugar Plants and Six Agricultural Firms

Astarta (AST PW: N/R) announced it would acquire Volochysky and Narkevychsky sugar plants from the fifth-largest domestic sugar producer, Euroservice, as well as six agricultural firms in Khmelnitsky Region, Interfax reported. The plants’ total capacity amounts to 4.95 ths mt of sugar beets daily, while the agricultural firms land under lease area totals 8.2 ths ha. The deal’s value, which is to be completed within six months, was not disclosed.
