Astarta to invest USD 10 mln into equipment

Astarta (WSE: AST PW) announced yesterday in a press release that it plans to invest about USD 10 mln to purchase more than 90 units of new agricultural machinery. Astarta said the purchase is within the scope of its development program. Astarta plans to buy field seeders, cultivators, tractors, auto-loaders and other equipment from EU and US producers such as Amity Technology, Wil-Rich, Fendt, and Manitou. The new equipment is expected to be engaged in the sowing campaign for the current season. Astarta also said it plans to buy 100 more units of agricultural machinery from Ukrainian and Russian producers in 2010.
