Azot Cherkasy to Cut Ammonia and Urea Production in 2008

Azot Cherkasy (AZOT: N/R) intends to cut ammonia production 3.5% yoy to 910.8 ths mt and urea production 4.5% yoy to 716.3 ths mt, said Ukrainian News, attributing the company’s press service. The reasons for reducing output were not disclosed. In 2007 Azot Cherkasy increased urea output by 9.0% yoy, while ammonia production was up 21.4% yoy.
