Balance of payments deficit down 41% yoy in January

Ukraine’s balance of payments deficit for the month of January was USD 1.06 bln, down 41.3% yoy, according to preliminary data released by the National Bank of Ukraine yesterday. The current account turned positive at USD 229 mln in January (vs. -USD 1.9 bln in 2009 in total).
