The National Bank of Ukraine said yesterday that it took banks Vladimir and Stolitsya under temporary administration. Bank Vladimir was taken under the NBU’s wing on July 17; it was Ukraine’s #130 largest bank by assets according to NBU data as of April 1. Meanwhile, Bank Stolitsya’s officially transferred control to the NBU on July 20; it was Ukraine’s #122 largest bank by assets. Andrii Parkhomenko: These are the sixteenth and seventeenth Ukrainian banks brought under NBU control. As of today, the banks under NBU administration jointly account for 8.8% of the assets in the Ukrainian banking system.
