Beer Output Up 20% in 1H07, Reaches 150.7 mln dal

According to the Ukrpyvo association, Obolon is still Ukraine’s largest beer producer in terms of volume, with 54 mln dal produced in 1H07, or 35.8% in Ukraine’s total production and 30.8% of 1H deliveries to the domestic market. Sun Interbrew (SUNI: BUY), maintained its leadership in domestic sales with 36.8% of the market over the same period. BBH companies Slavutych (SLAV: BUY) and Lvivska accounted for 19% of Ukraine’s domestic sales. Olha Pankiv:  While Sun Interbrew’s production share remained the same in 1H07 as in January-May 2007 at 33%, BBH companies have reportedly increased their production share from 17% in 5M07 to 19% in 1H07.
