Bohdan Corporation Car Sales Up 30.5% yoy In 2M07

The Bohdan Corporation, which includes the Lutsk Automobile Plant (LUAZ), saw its car sales grow 30.5% yoy in 2M07 to 8603 cars. Earlier this month, Vasiliy Kaplun, Vice President of the Bohdan Corporation, announced plans to increase production at LUAZ by 25.1% in 2007 to 50.5 ths cars. LUAZ produces Hyundai and KIA automobiles along with several popular Russian vehicles. In 2007 the company plans to increase the number of models of Hyndai and KIA’s it produces. In December of 2006, LUAZ announced plans to hold an IPO in 2009-10.
