Cabinet Urges GasCos to Raise their Efficiency

Yulia Tymoshenko, Ukraine’s Prime-Minister ordered the Ministry of Energy and Naftogaz of Ukraine to make proposals by June 7 to increase the gas companies efficiency. The working group, including GasCos representatives, is to report on technical conditions of gas distribution networks and needed amount of investments to upgrade them. The group is also tasked to make a complete program of gas transport networks development, which will meet the demand of all interested parties, and to examine a possibility of tariff increase.
