Car Sales up 46% in 2007 yoy

Interfax reported that sales of new cars surged 46% to 542 ths in 2007 yoy. This is another double-digit number following 40% growth in 2006 yoy. AvtoVAZ acoounted for 21.7% of the market, while Chevrolet outstripped Daewoo with 9.3% market share.
