Centrenergo posts UAH 153 mln net loss in 1H09

Centrenergo (CEEN) ended 1H09 with a net loss of UAH 153.2 mln, which compares to net income of UAH 100.6 mln in 1H08, the company reported yesterday. Centrenergo said in the first-half year that its net revenues totaled UAH 1.8 bln (down 7% yoy) and gross loss equaled UAH 59.4 mln (vs. gross profit of UAH 158.4 mln in 1H08). Yegor Samusenko: Centrenergo finished 1H09 with a negative 8.3% net margin, close to Dniproenergo and Donbasenergo (-8.2% and -8.5%, respectively), and better than Zakhidenergo, which underperformed the GenCos group with a -11.4% bottom line.
