Chernihiv Khimvolokno Lifts Cord Output, Raises Debt.

The company (CHIM), the only Ukrainian producer of cord fabric, increased output of the product by 83.1% in 1H06 to 18.5m sq. m., according to official statistics. The company also announced that it received a 5-year, $55m credit line from Alfa Bank which would be directed towards modernization projects and a new polymer production line. Vladimir Nesterenko: The company looks set to increase sales by 40-50% this year, in line with management plans to triple net income. The quality of its cord fabric (which accounts for half of sales) has improved greatly since 2004, allowing increased exports. CHIM was listed on the PFTS only last month.
