Constitutional Court cancels October presidential election date

The Constitutional Court of Ukraine decided that the Verkhovna Rada’s order to hold presidential elections on October 25, 2009 was in violation of the constitution and annulled the vote. At the same time, the Constitutional Court did not elaborate on potential alternative dates.
