Consumer inflation slides below 10% in April

Ukraine’s State Statistics Committee said yesterday that the consumer price index declined 0.3% mom in April, which implies consumer inflation of 9.7% yoy in April vs. 11.0% yoy in March.  Mykyta Mykhaylychenko: Consumer inflation in Ukraine dropped below 10% for the first time since February 2007. Somewhat alarming, though, is that producer prices inflation accelerated to 21.7% yoy in April from 18.7% yoy in March.
