Dniproazot Sale Postponed To June 12

The auction for the assets of Dniproazot (DNAZ: SELL), the 5th largest of Ukraine’s six producers of nitrogen fertilizers, was rescheduled to June 12. According to a local daily, the date was shifted to give European bidders more time to prepare. For the first time, BASF and INEOS Group were mentioned among the potential bidders. Other companies interested in Dniproazot’s assets are Achema, Gazprom’s Sibur Holding, and Ukrnafta (UNAF: SELL). The starting price for the auction was set at USD 347.3 mln. Dniproazot reported 2006 net income of USD 8.5 mln.
