Dniprospetsstal set to bring EUR 2.2 mln finishing equipment onstream in April

Dniprospetsstal (DNSS) invested EUR 2.2 mln to acquire new polishing equipment for rolled steel products from Germany’s Loeser. The company said that the new production line will help improve the finishing of its products by 7-10x to meet the needs of European customers. The planned capacity of the new line is 21 ths mt of rolled steel per year; production testing is expected to be conducted in March, with the new equipment brought onstream in April 2009. Dniprospetsstal is the CIS’ leading producer of specialty steel; its product portfolio includes tool, stainless, high-speed, bearing and structural steel.
