Donbasenergo gets additional payments to cover EBRD loan in 2009

Last Thursday the National Electricity Regulatory Commission approved the allocation of UAH 53.3 mln in additional payments to Donbasenergo (DOEN) from the wholesale electricity market in 2009. The additional payments are targeted to cover principal and interest on the company’s loan taken from the EBRD in 2002 to reconstruct power unit #4 at Starobeshev TPP. Donbasenergo received UAH 637 mln over 2002-2008 from the wholesale electricity market to repay the EBRD loan.
