Donetsk Coke Halts Two Coke Batteries

According to Interfax, Donetsk Coke (DKOK: N/R) announced its decision to terminate operation of two of its coke batteries at its Rutchenkivskiy area. Therefore, only the two batteries in the Donetsk area will be in operation. Andriy Gerus: This closure is in line with our expectations. We think existing orders will be redirected from Donetsk Coke to another Metinvest-related coke plant, Avdiyivka Coke (AVDK: BUY) (see Ukrainian Coke Update, Nov 16, 2007; Avdiyivka Coke Update, Oct 18, 2007).
