Donetskstal plans to appeal trading suspension

Donetskstal plans to appeal trading suspension

31 May 2011

Donetskstal group said it planned to appeal a 12-month suspension of trading in the shares of its assets by Ukraine’s Securities & Exchange Commission, which was made public on Friday. The Ukrainian SEC said it implemented the measure to protect shareholders and quell a shareholder conflict, following a court ruling instigated by a member of parliament. The suspension affected Yasynivsky Coke (UX: YASK UK) and Shakhtoupravlenie Pokrovskoye (UX: SHCHZ UK), which fell 35.12% and 45.22%, respectively in trading on Friday. The key beneficiaries of the Donetskstal business group are businessmen Viktor Nusenkis and Leonid Basiarov.
