DTEK retains control over Kyivenergo after EGM fails

11 September 2009

Kyivenergo (KIEN) shareholders failed to convene for an EGM yesterday due to a lack of quorum, Interfax reported. The agenda of yesterday’s meeting included issues on the re-election of the supervisory board and audit commission, distribution of profits, and changing the company’s shareholder registrar. Kyivenergo was last able to sit a shareholder meeting in fall 2007. Yegor Samusenko: The EGM’s failure to take place was in line with our expectations and allows DTEK to retain control over the supervisory board and management.
