DTEK announced yesterday in a press release that it has setup Power Trade, a new subsidiary, to conduct sales of electricity on export markets in Europe and the CIS. The National Commission of Electricity Regulation gave a license to Power Trade in June to deliver up to 3 bln KWh of electricity per year. Yegor Samusenko: Power Trade holds the second electricity export license at DTEK’s disposal (the other belongs to subsidiary Vostokenergo). DTEK will use them to participate in auctions for electricity export capacities from the Burstyn Energy Island, which is expected to be held in late September. The auctions will pave the way for the renewal of electricity exports by Zakhidenergo (ZAEN) and increase its electricity output at the Burstyn TPP. The news is stock neutral.
