DTEK ups stake in Kyivenergo to 24.9%

DTEK announced on September 4 that it increased its stake in Kyivenergo (UX: KIEN UK) to 24.9% from 6.0%. DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko said that his company was interested in further increasing its stake in Kyivenergo by purchasing additional shares on the open market as well as through privatization. The government currently holds 50% +1 of the company via state energy holding NC ECU.
