Agriculture Ministry forecasts bread wheat will account for over 40% of 2008 wheat harvest

The Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry said yesterday it forecasts the share of bread wheat in the 2008 wheat harvest to exceed 40%. Olha Pankiv: This forecast is more pessimistic than UkrAgroConsulting’s, which projects the share of bread wheat at 50%. In 2007, the share of wheat in the total domestic harvest was 70%.
