Alfa Bank Ukraine pays 2012 Eurobond coupon

Alfa Bank Ukraine pays 2012 Eurobond coupon

2 November 2009

Alfa Bank Ukraine said in a statement on Friday that on October 30 it paid the coupon on its new 2012 Eurobonds. The bank did not specify the total amount to be paid. Mykyta Mykhaylychenko: Alfa reported net profit of UAH 53 mln in 3Q09 as it stopped accumulating provisions against troubled loans. The bank increased its retail deposits by 20% during 3Q09, which was significantly above average (+1.8%). As the current YTM on Alfa bonds constitutes some 17% vs. only 8% for its parent Alfa-Bank (Russia) we deem Alfa Bank Ukraine’s YTM as attractive for medium-term investors.
