Antimonopoly Committee Greenlights Purchase Of Majority Stake In Stirol

2 February 2008

Ukraine’s Antimonoply Committee has ok’d the purchase of a 50+1 percent stake in the nitrogen fertilizer producer Stirol (STIR: SELL) by the Netherlands’ Dotterbloem Holding B.V. Vladimir Nesterenko: Most likely, this is a technical deal and the beneficial ownership won’t change. However, there is still a possibility that Stirol’s management could sell out a portion of its stake. Currently we are attempting to contact the management, as well as other sources, to clarify the purpose of the deal. We will provide you with more detailed information as it becomes available.
