Astarta completes spring crop planting

Astarta (WSE: AST PW) completed its spring sowing campaign, the company announced yesterday in a press release. Compared to last year, arable area increased by 25% to 215 ths ha. This year, Astarta planted sugar beets on 43 ths ha, soybeans on 34 ths ha, corn on 33 ths ha, spring barley on 13 ths ha, sunflowers on 13 ths ha, and forage crops on 25 ths ha. In addition, more than 45 ths ha were planted with winter wheat, barley, rye and other winter crops. About 10 ths ha of land was left fallow, which will be planted in the current year with winter crops.
