Auto sales in Ukraine rise 15.9% mom in July

Daily Kommersant reported this morning that automobile sales in Ukraine increased 15.9% mom in July, boosted by a renewal in auto loans and incentives from dealers. Auto-Consulting Group, cited by Kommersant, said that 95 ths cars were sold in Ukraine in 7M09. Yegor Samusenko: The growth is low enough in absolute terms to be taken seriously. We attribute the July increase in car sales to car dealers working to clear their inventories in order to stock up on imported cars once the additional 13% import duty on them expires (September 7).
