Avangard reports 25% yoy selling price increase in 1H12

Avangard (AVGR LI) reported last week its average shell egg selling prices stood at UAH 0.66/egg (excl. VAT) in 1H12, up 24.5% yoy. The increase was primarily due to overall growth in the price of shell eggs, but also thanks to a larger share of exports and sales to supermarkets. Avangard’s egg production increased 8.0% yoy to 3.1 bln, with 2.4 bln sold to third parties (up 12.8% yoy), including 154 mln exported (up 24-fold yoy). In the egg product segment, its processing volume totaled 541 mln pieces (up 1.3% yoy) with an average selling price up 9.1% yoy to USD 7.54/kg.
