AvtoKrAZ (KRAZ: BUY) Sells 40 Dump Trucks To Uzenergo, Uzbekistan

AvtoKraz plans to increase deliveries to Uzbekistan to 100 KrAZ trucks in 2005. The vehicles will be used for coal transportation at the country’s thermoelectric power station. KrAZ trucks to Uzbekistan were delivered primarily in Soviet days and are used in the country’s mining sector. Deliveries were minimal in 1994-2002. Presently, the company is also participating in a tender for the delivery of trucks and special equipment to the Uzbekistan’s oil and gas sector. The latter are interested in pipe trucks, manufactured by KrAZ together with the Lviv Research and Experimental Plant.
