AvtoKrAZ Looking To Boost Exports To Azerbaijan In 2007

According to a company press release,AvtoKrAZ (KRAZ: HOLD), Ukraine’s only large truck producer, is hoping to deliver 200 trucks to Azerbaijan in 2007. According to KRAZ, the demand for the company’s vehicles has gown by almost seven times in 2006 in the Caucasus mountain region and accounts for nearly 14% of the company’s sales. Yesterday, KRAZ announced that it had agreed to deliver 200 trucks to Azerbaijan’s neighbor Georgia in 2007, roughly 4% of the company’s expected sales for 2007. As part of its plan to target markets in the Caucuses, Middle East and Africa, KRAZ built a service center in Georgia in 2006 and delivered over 110 trucks to the country. As of 11M06, the company had sold 3443 trucks an increase of 13.9% yoy and saw its sales jump by 30% mom in November when it sold a record number of trucks (534) following the Moscow International Auto Show.
