Balance of payments deficit reaches USD 12.2 bln in 9M09

According to preliminary data released by the National Bank of Ukraine yesterday, the balance of payments deficit in 9M09 was USD 12.2 bln. In monthly terms, the balance of payments deficit narrowed to USD 1.3 bln in September, vs. USD 2.6 bln in August. In 9M09, the current account imbalance was USD 1.0 bln and the capital account shortfall was USD 11.2 bln.
