Balance of payments surplus shaved by 23% mom in May

Ukraine’s overall balance of payments surplus was cut by 23% mom in May to USD 997 mln although both current and financial account stayed in surplus, the National Bank of Ukraine reported yesterday. In 5M10, the balance of payments saw a double surplus of USD 0.3 bln for current account and USD 1.3 bln for financial account vs. double deficit of USD 0.8 bln and USD 5.8 bln, respectively in 5M09.
