Bank of Moscow to Take Over Insurance Company in Ukraine

Bank of Moscow is considering an acquisition of Ukrainian insurance company, Delo newspaper said, citing Vitaliy Lomakovich, Bank of Moscow’s Ukrainian subsidiary chairman. According to him, the bank is already in talks with one of Ukrainian companies, and the deal could be closed by the end of the year. Bank of Moscow owns Moscow Insurance Company, which is the 20th Russian insurer with premiums of USD 232.2 mln at the end of 2007, according to RossBusinessConsulting Rating.
