Banking deposit guarantee rises by 33%

The National Bank of Ukraine announced yesterday that the Deposit Guarantee Fund approved of increasing the guarantee on deposit accounts in domestic banks that fail from UAH 150,000 (USD 19,000) to UAH 200,000 (USD 25,000). According to an NBU statement, the move was made to promote confidence in Ukrainian banks and improve the security of depositors across the country.
