Banks’ aggregate net income rises 63% yoy in 7M08

Ukrainian banks’ aggregate net income increased by 63% yoy to USD 1.3 bln, the National Bank of Ukraine reported on Friday. Total assets rose by 62% yoy to USD 153.0 bln; loan portfolios by 57% yoy to USD 107.3 bln; retail and corporate deposits were up by 57% yoy and 47% yoy to USD 40.5 bln and USD 27.4 bln, respectively. As of August 1, Banks’ aggregate equity capital totaled USD 18.3 bln (+74% yoy).
