A year ago, Belarus was ready to pay 16 USD/MWh for Ukrainian electricity, while Russia buys Ukrainian electricity for 14 USD/MWh. Exports to Belarus would help solve Ukraine’s problem of excess generating capacity and making thermal generation companies more competitive on the domestic market.
