Bogdan to supply 279 trolleybuses to Kyiv

5 March 2012

Bogdan Motors (LUAZ UK) supplied the first 30 trolleybuses under a contract for a total of 279 units to the city of Kyiv in 2012, the company announced in a press release on Friday. The acquisition of 202 trolleybuses is financed via a EUR 46.0 mln EBRD loan to the city of Kyiv, while the remaining 77 units will be paid for from the city budget.

Roman Dmytrenko: The order of 279 trolleybuses alone exceeds the company’s total output for buses and trolleybuses in 2011 by 37% and should bring in an estimated UAH 660 mln in revenues in 2012. We expect the company’s revenues to reach UAH 4.5 bln (up 15% yoy), driven by an increase in trolleybus sales and growth in the company’s dealership business.
